What ink cartridges are compatible with Brother MFC-255cw?

I've been looking for a printer for the upcoming school year and the Brother MFC-255cw seems like a good printer. I want to know what cartridges are compatible with the printer so I don't waste money on a printer with ink cartridges that have been discontinued.

1. Only cartridges designed for the Brother printer by Brother should be used in your printer. Sometimes the manufacturers' develop a new printer that uses the same cartridges their prior printers have used. The only possible exceptions to using the manufacturers' ink cartridges, would be a company like Staples that makes their own "generic" ink cartridges for the more popular printers. The cost of replacing the ink cartridges can be higher than buying a new printer! I've actually known people who will just buy a whole new printer, identical to the old one if possible, and install it in the system, and throw the old printer away! They bought the new printer that includes the ink cartridges for $49.95 on sale. To buy the two ink cartridges ( black ink and tri-color ink ), the cost was $65!
