Can you download Dell printers on HP computers?

I've got an HP computer and a Dell printer that my boyfriend has. We just moved back in June and still can't seem to find the CD case with all the important CD's for installing hardware/software onto our computers, so the CD to install the printer isn't anywhere where we can find it. Can I do this on the internet? I've tried searching a little bit so far, but no luck. Can anyone help me out? Much thanks!! Well, I've tried doing this all over again, and every time I try to install the driver, it comes back with an error message saying: "There are no drivers to download. Please go to Drivers and Downloads to select file(s)." Any help is appreciated!!!!

Sure ! You will have to go to the DELL Website and then choose to download or search for DOWNLOADS & SOFTWARE for the DELL (then put the model number of the printer here) printer. Download the Software for your specific printer and then install it onto your pc.
Just plug it in. I use a dell printer with a hp computer. When i plugged it in it found the software it needed automatically.

Just go to Dell's support page and click on the drivers link. Either enter the service tag or pick your printer from the list. You can then download the driver. Printers with Windows drivers will work on ANY computer running the version of Windows the drivers are for. HP computers can connect to printers from Dell, HP, Brothers or Canon (among the dozens of brands of printers out then). You have to go the the PRINTER manufacturer's website to find and download the drivers for the version of Windows you're using. NOTE: Older printers don't always have drivers available for newer OSs.
