1. You should visit STAPLES and compare. Color laser printers are expensive and RUN HOT. You should limit how many copies that you print when using a cheaper model. You probably should print about 20 at a time, then wait a few minutes for it to cool. I know a guy that wrecked his $2,000 HP color laser printer on the FIRST DAY. He simply ran it, until it CAUGHT ON FIRE. If the manual recommend that you limit your print jobs, then be even more conservative. Printing TOO much KILLS laser printers every day. When you are shopping for a color laser, be sure that the low priced model that you are getting has FULL cartridges and not sample cartridges that will run out right away. The 4 cartridges will probably cost another $400. You see, they BAIT you in with a cheap price. Maybe you should set your budget at $2000. Good luck and Happy Computing!
2. Trust me, you will want to avoid the Dell 5110n. I have 12 of them at my office, and the tones cost $275 each ( you can only get them from Dell), it has a high failure rate, so there is always at least two printers out of service while we wait on parts and a technician. It is always the same parts failing too, the imaging drum and transfer roller (not inexpensive parts).
