What printer do you consider best between the following, Epson R2400, Hp Photo Smart 8750....?

...or Canon 9000 or 9500. I am looking for a photo printer that use long lasting ink and of course quality prints

  1. I would go eith the Epson or the Canon Prograf. They both will have better greyscale capabilities for your black and white prints.
  2. I would recommend HP for hardware. They have been the industry leader for many years and continue to put out high quality products. I have an old HP printer (~10 years old) that is superior in quality to many of the modern competitors today. HP had a policy of treating all their employees equally, from executives on down to low level workers - not sure if they still follow it, called the "HP Way" and it seems to have worked for helping them maintain quality workmanship... Epson, Canon, Lexmark are all fairly new competitors in the printer field (in terms of being on an equal par with HP) though I do have one of these printers now also and its quite good. Most of the advances in recent years in printers has been in the software that adjusts for the nuances of printing photos. The hardware hasn't changed much. So you might want to look at what these manufacturers offer in terms of image stabilization and such in their digital cameras. If their software is good in their cameras chances are they are adapting its features to their printers... Good luck.
