Reviews for digital camera= Hitachi HDC991 9MP. or any Hitachi camera??

would really appreciate reviews for this camera.is this a good camera brand in general or can you suggest something better?? I'm looking for a small, cheap compact digital camera for personal use. waterproof would be helpful but not a deal-breaker. Thanks!!
