Inexpensive color photo ID card printers or color ID card systems?

Where can I buy color ID card printer that is not so expensive? I need an inexpensive photo ID card system . I have found color ID printers but they are far too expensive. I can buy top of the line color laser printers for less than $500 so the cost of photo ID cards system should not be several thousand dollars.

1. For what they are selling most color ID card printers appear to be very expensive. The reason is because they sell thousands; not millions like inkjet and laser printers. Epson makes several inkjet printers that with an ID tray and inkjet ID cards sold on the secondary market will make an inexpensive color ID cards cards system. http://worwind.com sells the complete photo ID card system. Also www.worwind.com sells the photo ID card printers seperately. Then if wish,you can buy the ID tray and inkjet ID cards on eBay and save $5 or $10. You may not get as much technical support. However, in the unlikely event, you need technical support, you can email the manufacturer.
