Hi HP printer/Network Experts,Please help me....?

I want to connect printer 4250 series in network but problem is that when I try for printer's manual setting for IP address,subnet mask & gateway,printer not saved it.but it shows that it is saved.when I restarted printer it is not stored IP address & other setting.even I take print of printer information it shows another IP.I also checked laptop IP for that same network port.What is the issue? Note : We have a DHCP server.

1. Turn dhcp off on the printer or every time it starts up it will ask the dhcp server for it's ip information.
2. You should be able to apply a static IP address to the jetdirect card. Chances are pretty good that the card is defective. Try another one and see if you have success.
3. If you are putting in a manual IP, subnet and gateway then turn DHCP and BOOTP off in the same 'Network Interface' settings menu. Print another status page to confirm all these details are correct and then try rebooting again.
