How to fix error message for HP PSC 1610 All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier?
I purchased this All-in-One printer Fall '05, I didn't use it much in college. However, now while the printer is at home it doesn't want to work. An error message "Remove and check color cartridge" pops up on the screen. I spoke to an HP technian and said maybe because the color cartridge was expired. I went to a wholesale store to purchase a new color cartridge and the error message still pops up. Also, I tried to clean it like it says on one of HP page, and nothing. What can I do?

- Unplug printer including all port cables. Uninstall printer, and don't miss an associated file. Clean printer, scanner, and get new cable. Install all new cartridges. Close PC completely. Reboot. Plug in printer to HD, and outlet. Use Printer CD to install software. Turn on printer. Begin installation process. Run printer test. Adjust if needed. Allow printer to tell you what the problem may be. It will. If it doesn't work, buy new printer. All-In-One, for 80 bucks, and get extended warranty. It's probably time for a new one anyway. Nad
