I have an epson CX4400 printer and i replaced the ink cartridges and the color ink is not being recognized?

I replaced the CYM ink and the black ink. The black ink was recognized but the CYM was not. Re-installed the ink several times and same result. Any suggestions?

1. MAke usre you are using cartirdge numbers 88's for all your colour cartridges. If you are not that is the issue. If you are using the correct cartridges take them back.
2. Have you tried resetting your printer? Turn it off, unplug it from the electric outlet, wait a couple of minutes, and then power it back up.
