Help with my Hp psc printer?

I've go a HP PSC printer. Its been stored away for a couple of months, I've just got it out and it won't pick up paper. I think it might be that the rollers at the front arn't picking it up. Is there anything I could do myself to fix it, or would it cost much to take it somewhere to get fixed? or am i looking for a new printer!?

  1. I think you need to push the paper into the psc.I have an hp psc. The f380.
  2. Either the printer is actually broken or..... Take all the paper out of the printer. Get a flashlight and look down in the printer where the paper goes. There is something stuck in there, perhaps some scrap paper or something. Be careful getting it out, the printer parts are plastic and can break easily. I have repaired printers for many years now and I can almost guarantee you this is the problem. If you cannot find a foreign object in there from where the paper goes in the look where the paper goes out. If you still don't see it then get a piece of very stiff paper like card stock and try to run that through the printer to try to push the object through. You may have to gently push on the card stock while the printer is also trying to pick it up. Only do this if you cannot find the object by looking with a flashlilght first, you ONLY want to push the object through if it is very small and won't hurt the printer (like if it's some bits of torn paper). I have found pennies, broken glass, push pins, thumb tacs, tiny childrens toys, even potato chips inside printers and of course lots of tiny bits of torn paper.
