  1. A wireless modem like Lynksis. Has things like that that would do. Like this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=3906544&type=product&productCategoryId=cat01029&id=1051384171495 I use this kind of product with my alltel dsl. Use it to connect wireless with my 2 hp computers and 1 hp laptop. You just need the wireless routers to connect with the laptop.
  2. When you buy a notebook you don't need to get a charger it already comes with it. As for the internet almost all the new laptops have a wireless card built it. So if you're close to a wifi hotspot you can used that if not you can use the ethernet port for the internet, that's the same connection you use to connect to your desktop. The rest of the accessories is optional like a carrying bag or a portable mouse.
  3. I use Sprint Vision (EVDO Rev A) with my Asus G1. The speed isn't bad considering I can use it any were in Southeastern PA. It will stream most videos without a issue, but the further away from a tower one is, the speed can suffer. The cost per month is high, $60 a month for unlimited with a 2 yr contract and a free PC card or USB dongle. The set up is easy, though is you get Vista you will want the USB dongle. Other than that, you can use the on board wireless that is sure to come with your new notebook. It should automatically find any open network and allow you to sign on. You may need to enter a pass code for some networks, so don't fret if you cant connect. If you are going to be on the road a lot. Give thought to a 12v charger and even a wifi finder. The latter is a device about the size of a key chain that will let you know when there is a hot spot in range. Some of them will even tell you if it secure or not. Prices start at around $30 for these, which will allow you to keep your notebook in your case until you need it.
