Why does my HP 2605 Laser Printer print dirty pages?
Hi, I have a problem with my HP 2605 laser printer and wondered if anyone can help? It's producing dirty pages with a marbled effect across the entire page when printing. I have tried several types of papers and the text and images print fine although the pages appear dirty. The toners have around 25% left each and I didn't want to purchase new ones if this is a problem with the fuser. Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks.

- Commonly, bad or defective fusers will produce print quality issues in only certain areas of the printed page, not the entire page. Unfortunately, it's usually a bad toner cartridge that causes the type of problem you're seeing. One way to tell definitively where the problem is occurring is to what is called a "stop print" test page. This is where a print page is started through the printer, but is stopped about halfway through, before reaching the fuser assy. by opening a printer access door that is interlocked, thereby stopping the printer in mid-print. Then opening the printer to gain access to, and carefully removing the half printed page to evaluate the print to see if the problem is evident after passing the toner cartridge, but before going into the fuser. Best of luck.
