I have a HP Color LasterJet 2600n The magenta feathers across the page. If you divide the page into thirds, the middle of the page prints perfectly, the right and left thirds feather. They go from white to solid and then solid to white. I installed a new OEM toner cartridge, and have the same results. It is the magenta cartridge that does not print correctly. Yellow, Cyan and Black are fine. The supplies status page says that I have 97% remaining. I've cleaned the ground connection to the left of the toner cart, I've cleaned the two electrical connections behind the toner cart, I've cleaned the two electrical connections on the toner cart. I verified that the LED paths are also clear. I do not want to replace a printer if I can fix this one. Suggestions?? Joao == nope, it is a new toner and the status page reports 97% remaining. I found the problem. Since the magenta is the bottom color, it had the problem first. Yellow was going to fail soon. The laser mirrors were dirty. The magenta and the yellow face upward, gravity causes the toner and dust to settle on the magenta and yellow mirrors. I had to disassemble the printer to get to the lasers, a couple q-tips to dust the mirrors and canned air to blow out anything else.... A couple test pages later, my printer works fine now.
