What will my older 35mm lenses work on newer digital cameras?

So I have a Canon Ae-1 35mm camera and I was wondering what bodies of digital cameras will my lenses work on ? I have Canon FD 50mm, a 28mm wide angle, and a 80 - 200mm zoom.

  1. Sorry to tell you this, but Canon abandoned the FD lens mount used by the AE-1 & your lenses when they switched over to the incompatible EF lens mount used by all autofocus Canon SLR's & DSLR's.
  2. The number of digital camera bodies that those lenses will work on is zero-unless you use an adapter. Like you I had a number of old but very good quality FD mount Canon lenses so I bought an extra DSLR body and an adapter just to use them .
  3. If you use the FD lenses they will need an adapter and you will lose too many features on your new camera to utilize them.
