HP Store Online

Is store brand refillable inkjet just as good as the HP brand for my HP inkjet printer? I bought at Walgreens

Walgreens had a special sale on refilling my HP inkjet color & Black ink cartridges. $ 5 .00 each. I've always used HP, but my nephew says it should be good enough. When I went ot the HP website, they said I really should be using HP as to not to have any printers damaging my printer. Has anyone out there ever used a non-brand name refill on inkjet cartridges? I have a 3320 HP inkjet printer, & I usually clean out the printer as instructed in the HP manual. Would appreciate your valued information thank you.

  1. It will be fine, ink is ink. However, I have noticed when I buy online or see it half the price, I noticed the ink cartridge was only half full. keep that in mind, otherwise no problem.
  2. For day to day stuff compatible ink works fine. However, if you want to do "photo" quality printing and have the prints last, then you should stick with the original ink and original paper.
  3. It shouldn't make a difference as from a quality standpoint. But keep in mind that some of the cheaper brands don't give you as much ink as the more expensive brands, so even though it may be cheaper right now, it might not be for a long term point of view.
  4. I had some experience in this area because of job need. We experiment with some cheap non HP brand or refillable ink. The only problem is the color will come out differently even for black color. If you can accept the color difference, by all mean use the cheap one, if you want color quality like HP promised, then use theirs.
  5. You should be ok, just check the quality of the print, hope this helps and good luck.
  6. The cartridge will not damage your printer. They are HP bodies which have been refilled. The worst that can happen is the cartridge becomes clogged. I have never used Walgreen's cartridge so I cannot comment on the quality. However try them out, worst case scenario, you don't like the quality and you have to take them back. I assure you using a refilled number 27 and 28 hp will not damage your printer.
