what kind of battery should I get?

I have a Glasstream boat with a 60 hp motor and accessories running off a car battery with 875 cranking amps and a 205 reserve capacity. I have no clue what battery I should be putting in this boat at all. What kind of battery should I be putting in it? What amps and reserve capacity should it have? thank you

  1. the song battery by metallica \m/
  2. get a marine battery...
  3. Go to napa with all you info and they will hook you up with the right sized battery.
  4. What you want is a deep cycle battery
  5. you really should have two batteries one starting battery dedicated for the engine and a deep cycle battery to run your electronics, also get rid of the car batteries and get marine batteries. whats the difference you ask, marine batteries are built tougher to withstand the pounding and jaring that comes with boat use and look for batteries that have marine cranking amps not cold cranking amps. you didnt say how old the outboard is if its fuel injected the ecm draws alot of power from the battery and if your running electronics off the same battery it saps power away that the ecm need to keep the engine running. once a battery drops below 9v the ecm will shut the engine down
