Can I use color laser printer paper on a black and white lazer printer?
all the heavyweight paper is made for color laser printers, what if I order some non-glossy paper that says "heavyweight color copy paper" for my regular laser printer?

- The printer will not care. they call it "color" paper because it's good for printing colors. The printer doesn't know this.
- Not sure what printers you have, but I do know Xerox is one of the best to process heavyweight paper on their color laser printers. Yes, you can print heavy weight paper on a printer that can handle the weight (Xerox can do this easlily). However not all laser printers can print on heavy weight paper. They have limits. Printing in black and white is a non issue as all printers can print black and white. To use black & white only on the colour laser printer: Before you print, you can go into print properties and find the setting to print in black & white only. If your document is black & white only, it will print that way, so do not need to do this. Without knowing what printer you are using, I cannot say where this setting is. Look at your manual, or search for it online. If it is under warranty, give their tech support a call. If your question is about using paper for your regular BLACK & WHITE printer, you can use standard non-glossy paper. Do not use glossy paper for black & white prints...it costs more and it would be a waste. Paper alone does not determine colour or no colour...not even in the debate.
