HP Store Online

???About a Mac????

So my motherboard is shot to hell. I took it to the Mac store and they said $800 to fix it!!!!! It has water damage and that isn't covered on any of their warranties. What do I do? I payed about $1400 LAST February, do I sell it for parts and just say forget it or is there somewhere else I could maybe take it to get it fixed for less? Also, I really want to save all my memory and such if I do end up selling it for parts, how do I do that? I don't have a desk top, and right now I am using my bf labtop, but he has a hp with vistas, so i know I can't save anything on his. HELP!!!!

  1. Hmm....if it really doesn't work, try taking the harddrive out, you don't want your personal files out there, and sell the parts, and buy a new one, they are reasonably priced, and you can get good money for Mac parts. Hope this helps, Onekyng
  2. Water damage whether it is rain, snow, a spilled drink, whatever, is not covered by a warranty. If that was the case, people would put their MacBooks in washing machines. But it is in some instances covered by your insurance minus the deductible. Check with your homeowners insurance. If it was a friend who damaged your Mac, have them pay for it.
