Do You have to align the new print cartridges on HP printers?

It seems like a waste of ink. Is it possible to bypass this?

  1. If it's a printer model that requires an alignment after print cartridge replacement, then there really isn't a way around it, and I wouldn't recommend bypassing it anyhow as this is how the printer gives you good print quality. Without the alignment process, printing anything in anything requiring more than one color (cyan, magenta, yellow or black) would result in blurry or shadowed print which wouldn't be worth printing. It does use some ink, but in the long run of the life of the cartridge it's pretty insignificant. Best of luck.
  2. unless its a hp printer from the 90s yes align it
