How can I distinguish between the Original HP Toner and the recycled HP toner?

I discovered that HP recycles it's own products and that include the Toners and ink cartridges . So the question is how can I distinguish between the original and the recycled HP toner ? Is their any difference between their codes and numbers?

  1. By 'recycling' it means a multi-phase recycling process where they are crushed, broken down and reduced to raw materials that can then be used to make new metal and plastic products. They have a recycling program through HP Planet Partners so that there is no chance of toners and cartridges ending up in the landfill. You can verify this info at the HP site www.hp.com There are however, a lot of commercial toner refills, this is where you drill a hole to inject your refill in your exhausted HP Toner. But HP themselves do not sell these and they strongly encourage buying the original HP Toners, kindly refer to below links on where to buy genuine HP Toners, they definitely come in a box with all the codes and number. Hope this helps!
