I need a 400W power supply, the only problem is the normal power supplies are too big to fit in my HP Slimline.

There aren't any. HP's slimline psu design is proprietary and they don't make any models with that high wattage. There is a external psu called the FSP booster X5- that's probably your best bet. You could sit it externally and run cables into the case, using it to power your video card (assuming you have a low-profile 9600GT or 9800GT).
