- Yeah that you going to college and your major means a lot. For instance I don't recall any of my roommate a CSE computer science engineer ever bringing his personal comp to class but he has a monster in his room for work at home. On the other hand it depends what college you go to when it comes to business fischer college of business at OSU and not one day goes by that I dont bing my laptop to class. I'm also a senior though. The problem you have with your comp up there is the battery life and size. Because nothing is more annoying then a monster computer and messing around with a cable. Things you should be looking for is the HP DM3 or DM4 series http://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-13.3-320-GB-HP-dm3-1130us/13377096 They are light, 10 hour battery life and have enough processing power to do anything for a business class. the negatives would be no optical drive (CD) but other then that I have this, its good i never have my cord with me to charge it, its light, and like the perfect size because it has a full keyboard. Also if you have the financial means go to the HP website and build this monster with the upgrades like 4gb of ram (thats all it can use so dont pay for 8gb) and you will never need more then the 7200rpm 320gb harddrive which comes stock!! you will want to opt for a better CPU which will put yo in the 700 to 760 range but it will pull you through college. hope this helps and good luck. Oh BTW use a condom ok stds are not fun and EVERYONE finds out
