Which digital cameras are better? Sony or Canon? I am trying to decide between the Sony W230 vs Canon SD1200?

The Sony W230 has 12.1 megapixels,while the Canon SD1200 has only 10 megapixels. Is it better to trade in the megapixel of the Sony camera for the Canon camera. Also Canon camera is more expensive. The Canon camera only has 3x optical zoom while the Sony has 4x optical zoom.

1. the canon sd1200 is way better. all digital cameras that i bought that were sony, didn't really work well. besides, i think canon has a better warranty
