Can I connect a HP Photo Smart Printer w/o the software?

We recently moved and have misplaced the software. I have HP Photosmart C4250. Can this be connected to the computer without the hardware?

2. pls double check your question... do you want to connect it without the hardware or software?? anyway connecting without the hardware yes it is possible just first install the software then if you were prompt to connect your printer look for the checkbox then put a check on it that says continue without connecting your printer. then if you finished installing the software you can now any time connect your printer without installing the software just follow the on screen setup procedure. connecting the printer without the software... it depends on you printer and O.S. since you have HP photosmart c4250 if your O.S. is windows 7 just plug the printer onto your usb port it will automatically install the printer then its finished.. if you have windows XP you will need the software driver to install it.. here is the link you can choose full feature software driver or the basic driver.... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3300221

Search your manufacturer's website to acquire the latest version of the driver.
