I have a Brother laser printer and every time I print something it smells bad.?

Is this normal for laser printers or there is something wrong with mine? TN 115 (BK,C,M,Y) I use toners.

  1. Are you using ink?
  2. It's just the ink before it dries.
  3. If the printer is new, there may be some smell associated with it as it breaks in. Usually the fuser will cause a smell due to the heat that it produces if it is new, but should go away after a couple hundred pages as it settles in. If this is an older printer and it recently started smelling, there could be something stuck in or near the fuser, or you may have something else going on that may require service - hard to say without actually seeing it. Normally laser printers don't have any significant smells from them. Best of luck.
