My HP Laptops touch controls went out anyone have any suggestions?

it is an HP DV7 1448x and the touch controls that come on most of the HP entertainment PCs and Laptops where they are lit up and you can touch them and turn on wi fi or volume have completely stopped working, how do I get them working again?

1. did you spill liquid on them?. Is it under warranty? Did you reboot? Call the 1 800 number for support.
