How do I reboot/recover my computer (HP) without using a cd or anything?

I have an HP and it has a virus. I don't know how it got one but it did. I want to reformat my computer so that I erase everything and start over....fresh. How do I do this through just the computer (laptop actually) without having to use a disk or anything else like that? Please help me!
