My hp photosmart 7150 turned off by itself and it's not turning on! Why?
My printer was working perfectly fine, right? But it ran out of paper, so I hastily added a paper in there. But the paper was not correctly placed inside the printer so it got jammed and it automatically shut itself off. So I took out the paper, yeah? I still think that some of the paper pieces got stuck...but the printer is not turning on again! I plugged the USB connectors and the power supply it was connected to and re-plugged it in and it still won't print anything! Help! I can't call for services cuz I'm broke!

- Unplug your machine completely (from the wall/powerstrip and the unit). Try opening as many doors on the printer as possible and look inside for small bits of paper that might have gotten stuck. If you can find them, they may be too small to get out by hand..you may want to try to get them out with a small pair of tweezers (make sure machine is unplugged at this point!). After clearing the paper, plug the printer back in/attach the USB cable, push the 'on' button, and, try printing after giving it a few minutes to warm up. Also, here's the online manual for your printer (it's in PDF format) - it includes a troubleshooting section: http://h20000.www2.hphttp://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/bpy20877/bpy20877.pdf.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/bpy20877/bpy20877.pdf I hope this helps, Kerry www.castleink.com
- Here's a quick thought. Last summer during an electrical storm, one of the outlets in my office got fried. Since I had the printer plugged directly into it, the printer shut off (seemingly by itself). Thankfully, the storm did not ruin the computer, just the outlet. I tried plugging the printer into another outlet and thankfully it powered right up. Also, you may have an outlet controlled by a switch - if the switch got bumped it can trick you into thinking your printer is broken. I hope you get your printer back up quickly!
