Can i put any HP ink that have a different number for my HP printer?
I have an HP Photosmart printer, but its very hard to find the ink model in stores, and the number is 74 and 75. So can i buy a different ink and put it in the cartridge?

- You can buy refillable cartridges, but if search the web, you'll find that most discourage it. -MM -MM
- Order it from the HP website. Each number is for a specific model. Maybe the ink would be much cheaper if manufacturers designed their printers to all take the same type of ink
- It has been my experience that a different number will not fit - the cartridge is just that much not the same...they got you...it has to be the same. In theory, you could reload the cartridge, but that is often not very satisfactory and both messy and difficult to do. But yes, you could try that. With the price of some printers and the price of some cartridges, it is actually cheaper to just buy a new printer!
- No you need to put the correct cartridges in the printer. Each cartridge is electronically and physically different. Any other cartridges will not fit or work in your printer.
