Which laser printers are best for mass production?

I am starting a small printing business, specifically flyers and business cards. I've been doing alot of research (HPs, Brother, Bestbuy etc) but wonder how many can actually mass produce? I would offer flyers from 100 flyers to 5,000 to one customer. Can anyone recommend some? Preferably in the $200-$800 range. I called someone at Best Buy's Geek Squad and he said that ink printers are better in quality but they cost more (cartridges), however laser printers are cheaper to maintain (and i guess faster). Any thoughts on this? Any facts to add? And if this is true, how much quality am i sacrificing on colored flyers (glossy and plain)? Thanks!! what about the xerox phaser 8560?

  1. Many printing businesses are using Konica minolta printers, they are the new digital equivilent to "offset" printing and are designed especially for printing "commercial" quality biz cards, flyers, newsletters, etc., but as far as $200-$800 budget, you will never get the kind of quality a customer would demand. http://kmbs.konicaminolta.us
