Does anyone know anything about digital cameras for children?
I purchased a V-tech, pink, children's digital camera last year for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. I chose this particular camera because of the fantastic reviews. I don't think the thing made it 6 months!!! Now when you look through the viewer, all you see if a blank white screen. I'm so disappointed. I want to purchase a different one for my daughter this year. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.

- Well I'd put it this way, buy cheap get cheap... I know you understand what I mean. All digital cameras are sensitive electron devices and in my opinion don't belong in the hands of very young children. These devices are not meant to be roughed or beaten up and won't stand such treatment very long. If your child is anything like mine were nothing you give them, especially these kinds of devices, won't last very long. I'm sorry I don't have any good recommendations for except the above. Just my opinion.
- gotta agree with jim on this. a digital camera is not for children. too easy to break. ok lecture over now try this. they might work better when it comes to dropping them. http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=camera&origkw=camara&f=Taxonomy/TRUS/2254197&sr=1
- Some of the lowest priced digital cameras don't have a screen, just an optical viewfinder. It's almost like a film camera, but you just plug it in to the computer to see your pictures. Or there are some printers that can connect directly to a camera.
