How do i download the software for my laser jet printer?

We have a HP color laser jet 1600 printer. We have lost the disc that we need to get the software on the computer to make it work. Does any one know where i could download this software?and is it by any chance called a driver? its all so confusing!any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it is a driver. When downloading select RUN and it will automatically install the drtiver for you. Then install the printer (again) if necessary.

3. Just go to http://hp.com/support to download printer drivers.
4. Try HP home site or if no luck there are plenty of Driver update sites out there that can fix you up Just Google 'Drivers'
