hp laser jet printer fading printout problem...?

when i am taking print out in my HP laser jet printer...high smoke will comes and at the same time FADING PRINT out comes..why this will takes place?? due to any voltage problem? pl send me the ans..for me..

  1. I don't know which Laserjet you have, but the smoke isn't good, sounds like the low voltage power supply or the fuser could be bad. If the print is faded could be the toner cartridge or again the fuser, not fusing the toner to the paper properly. If I knew which Laserjet model you have I could pinpoint it more, but from my experience, not fusing properly and smoke is usually a low voltage power supply and/or fuser.
  2. Try taking a print using a different cartridge. If the problem repeats, you have to see a technician.
  3. You have a bad fuser. The "smoke" that you are seeing is toner. It is not getting hot enough to stick to the page. You will have to call HP or a local computer store.
