Hello friends, I am intending to buy a compact Digital camera. I found many Branded cameras in the market. After hearing many comments i have shortlisted three brands for me. Nikon, Canon ,Sony Now, from these three cameras i dont know which one to choose. Somebody saying Nikon is the best and some opting for Canon, then sony. Kindly, let me know which camera is best in the case of compact cameras. Anybody please help me to choose a good camera wihout any confusion. Thanks

  2. They are excellent cameras, mostly it's a matter of personal preference in buying a camera these days. I'd suggest going to http://dpreview.com and compare the different cameras you are interested in, side by side. You can search cameras by the features which interest you most. Read the reviews, and look at the sample photos. Then go to the store, and handle the different cameras which you have decided upon. Buy the one which feels right in your hands.
  3. Nikon. but theyre all good.
  4. All of the major brands are good. Choose a brand that appeals to you. Then you have to think about getting a spare battery, what size memory card, if you want an extended warranty, how much you can afford, what size zoom, if you want manual controls, the size of the camera, finding a reliable place to purchase it, and the list goes on and on and on....... The first thing to realize is that almost any digital camera will take good pictures. If more people would read the manual more than once, they would be able to take better pictures. Usually, the person assumes it is the camera when it could be them not knowing exactly what to do. Just give yourself more photographic knowledge by doing more reading on the internet. I really believe buying a camera is an individual choice. The person needs to read a lot of reviews on cameras so they can decide on the features that they really want and need. Go to the store and hold them so you can see if they feel comfortable in your hands. If possible, take some pictures in the store to check the quality of the pictures. I can only give a suggestion of what to look for in a new digital camera. Good Luck my suggestion go to this link for help http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-camera-buying-guide/ http://www.sears.com/shc/s/dap_10153_12605_DAP_Holiday+Splurge+Camera?adCell=W3
  5. all these three brands are the top 3 brands in camera...... cameras of these these brands are very good..but if u ask one name then nikon is the best of the three............. but i suggest u to go according to ur budget..how many money u hav and then check the cameras under ur budget of all three brands...one who will give u more options(features) like higher optical zoom, high megapixel...etc. you should buy only that one.......
  6. before you buy ... goggle the Nikon coolpix P-60 ..i own one and of course nikon use the best glass in lens... this camera has both size view finders and the eye finder is even electronic its bright.. 5x zoom and auto to more advance// check it out plus this camera has a very nice grip, un like most little to hold cameras
  7. I know the main OEM maker makes and supply the point and shoot cameras to them. If you are not a beginner, digital SLR cameras are good. They are Canon and Nikon. But for compact camera or point and shoot cameras Canon and Panasonic must be better image quality and reliable.
  8. Nikon makes technologically superior dSLR cameras. Their compacts tend to be cumbersome to use. Aftersales service may be hard to locate. Canon makes some of the best lenses for their dSLR cameras. Their compacts are easy to understand and use. Aftersales service may be hard to deal with at times. Sony is new to dSLR technology but makes some of the most exciting compacts around. Most recommended are those with Carl Zeiss lenses. Their aftersales service is a joyride. Among the three, I suggest you narrow down your selection to Canon and Sony. You won't go wrong with any model from them.
  9. Just ignore all an answers. You go to shops and try out nikon, Sony and canon. I saw a lot people change to canon. They regret that nikon has lack of colour, slow shutter at night( destory your photo). For nikon.
  10. They all have their advantages, but don't expect much greater improvement in Nikon cameras over those from sony as in the base models at least they use the same sensors, and sometimes the same image processors (built by Sony). The two top of the pile compacts IMHO of the moment are the Canon PowerShot G11 and the Sony DSC-WX1. The reason I pick these (and I bought a WX1) is that they both have better low light ability than anything else in their class, and for my purposes that's the number 1 feature I want! Canon PowerShot G11 - Best (semi)pro features you'll find in any compact combined with low light ability. Sony DSC-WX1 - Best super compact (pocket able camera) in low light.
