Are there settings on the hp 3600 that will use less toner? Some way to set the resolution for text printing?

I am really using up toner, and I keep thinking I could print with lower resolution or something to use less toner...mostly text printing. Anyone know about this?

  1. When you print, instead of just clicking on the printer icon, go to File/Print. It will then give you a bunch of options. You want to explore the advanced options and choose to print in B&W (or grayscale) and in draft mode.
  2. Hello, You need to adjust your quality/ resolution settings to low/ quick mode. You can either do this in your control panel or when you go to print. Before printing, click the "properties" button and look for the resolution setting and adjust it properly. You may also want to choose gray scale. If you are doing this because your toner is expensive, i would consider buying remanufactured toner. Just be careful you buy from a place that warranties their products for at least 6 months. Many places sell these toners at super low prices but the quality is not good. Look for a place that warranties their products and offers a satisfaction guarantee. I have included a link to one website that offers both long term warranty and a satisfaction guarantee. I hope this helps.
