I just got a new laptop and I need some advice...preferably if you know about HP laptops?
It's an HP Pavilion. It's filled with junk programs that they add on. What can I delete and how? Does anybody know? I like it a lot but it's already running a bit slow compared to my old one, I blame Vista. Which browser should I use?

- Yeah, blame Vista. :/ Anyway, you can remove any of the HP bloatware and any application you don't need by going into the Control Panel and selecting Uninstall Programs. Simple. Use Firefox as your browser. Best one out.
- Download, install, and run; http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,67264-order,1-page,1/description.html To clean the bloatware I recommend using IE 8, or FireFox, it won't hurt a thing to have both on the computer.
- PC decrapifier does a good job. Also download superantispyware, an antivirus program, and a registry cleaner like glary utilities. Getting more RAM will also help.
- Dont do anything........ Start doing a data recovery. (u can do it with a dvds or ext hard drive.) yr lap contains original licenced softwares installed in the factory. before a recovery, if u start working on it, for any reason, if u threated by a virus, etc, then u ll need to format the laptop. thats why u should do a recovery back up in the very first day. Remember to recover only "c" drive. (if u do a full recovery, all other shits in d,e,f, will also backup) so dont do a full recovery. once its finished, keep the dvd securely. Some day u will need it. (u dont want to buy original version softwares)
- If you want to delete junk programs then it will compulsory to download registry easy because only this one software can remove all window registry errors and fix this problem. I have link where you can download registry easy: http://www.download-registry-cleaners.com/registryeasy/
