Is the power supply in a HP 2200d easily replaced?

I must have had a power surge that blew the power supply in my PC and apparently killed my HP 2200d laserjet also. The printer will not turn on at all. Is the power supply accessible, available, and easily replaced? If so, where can I get one and how much should it cost? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Yes power supply's are pretty easy to replace unless you don't no what your doing. When buying a new PSU (power supply unit) make sure you have enough wattage for your computer. I would get at least a 400-500 watt PSU. Also its probly best if you just take it down to the closest PC shop to take a look at it for you because surges can effect all parts of the computer, not just the PSU. A 400-500 Watt power supplys can be bought for around $100-$300 depending on what brand you get. My friend recently had a power surge and he went and bought a new power supply and then he later found out it was his motherboard that got fried along with the power supply. Hope This Helps! :D
  2. yes it can be replaced for about $100 more or less but make sure you get the right kind of PSU it will need to support all connections in your computer. Also get a surge protector they are cheap to get and save you this problem.
