Anyone know of any GOOD digital cameras that are compatible with Vista?
I cannot find any decent digital cameras that are compatible with Windows Vista. Does anyone know any camera models or maybe a website that has this info? If a website says that a certain camera model is compatible with Windows but doesn't specifiy OS system, would it work?? Thanks to anyone who answers.

- Vista is a new system with bugs, that will take some time before working themselves out. Id reccomend putting XP back on until vista has some time to fix out the bugs. Most digital cameras work with xp.
- I'd imagine that the specs for the cameras just haven't been updated to include Vista. They really should all work just to download pictures. The editing software that comes with them would be the only thing to worry about compatibility and if it works with Windows, it almost certainly works with Vista. The best thing to do would be to find a camera you like and call to see about the Vista issue. I can see how that info just wouldn't have been updated online or something similar.
- all of the canon cameras that are fairly new are compatible
- All cameras are compatable with Vista ... because it isn't the camera but the image files you transfer to your computer that are the issue and the good news is both Mac and PC's will read the JPEG files any camera makes. No you may find some older cameras that have photo programs on the CD that comes with the camera that say compatible with Windows and Mac.
- Sony CyberShot
- From a number of people I've talked to I think the operative question is, "Does anyone know of anything that is compatible with Vista?"
- They all should work. If they use USB they should work (at least acting like a flash drive). Likewise, you could always get a memory card reader. I don't think you'll have any trouble.
