trying to use disc supplied with my new printer hp4480 to no avail .My comp is dell latitude d510 with?

windows xp. when i load the supplied disc it stops and a massage "fatal error 1603 crops up.i am not well up on computers so any help appreciated. i have tried to download new drivers from microsoft ,i also rang the HP helpline after 30 mins speaking to somebody in a call centre and following his instructions it still did not let me load the op. disc.

1. If im not mistaken you have to follow instructions for installing. Unplug usb cord the put in disk and try to install and follow any further instructions. If you still have a problem go to www.hp.com register your printer then ask for help, you can either call or use online help. I have an hp printer they are very helpful. If you call make sure you go on line and register your printer.
