Looking for HP dv9000 part?

I am looking for a part for my husband's computer...he has an HP dv9000 entertainment laptop. The broken part is the hole where the ac adapter plugs into the laptop itself. I don't know what it's called, let alone the part number. I've contacted HP but am waiting for a response. Basically I had someone check out the computer, and the only thing that's wrong with it is it won't power on when the computer is hooked up to the adapter because he used to pull the adapter plug out and twist with such force...so now it won't hold a charge. so that's the part that needs replaced. Can anyone tell me the product number, the name of the part, and where I can get it online or in stores besides HP (they take forever!!!) Trying to fix it as a surprise before he gets home from war.
