What is a good power supply that will fit well in a HP Pavilion a6703w Desktop PC?
I have a HP Pavilion a6703w Desktop PC, just wondering if anyone knows a good, cheap power supply I can put in it. The 250w one it came with isn't getting the job done.

- This http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152039 but all atx power supplies will fit on that case. This is really cheap with rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817148038 This one if you don't want to be dealing with rebates http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817339012
- I'm a fan of the Corsair Power Supplies, they're around $50-$80 through CompuUSA online 400 - 650 Watts. Based on the configuration of that machine (Slots/Space, Available options, etc.) I think a 450 or 550 would be more than sufficient.
- Take a look at this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371007 It got high ratings and is $70. Double your original wattage. Looks nice.
- I think a power supply that has the old ATX format (with an 80mm fan that blows the air outside the case) is better for the design of your desktop than the new-style ATX format (with a 120mm fan blowing into the case). One that would do the job just fine is an Antec Earthwatts EA430 (currently $49.99 + free shipping at the Egg) or a PC Power & Cooling Silencer PPCS420X 420W ($49.99 + shipping at the Egg). Both are 80 PLUS certified, making them relatively energy-efficient. Doesn't only reduce your electricity bill but also reduces heat dissipation and noise. If you are planning on buying a higher-end graphics (Radeon HD 4870/Geforce 9800GTX+ or better), I'd get the 500W version of one the above instead.
