Do i need a very high quality screen printer to start my business?

So me and a friend just coming out of highschool are starting a small t-shirt design business. we have some friends and family who are willing to invest because we do have artistic talent. but im wondering if there are any screen printers that will do what we need them to? do i need a very high quality shirt printer? can you direct me to the right supplies i will need?

1. Make a market survey on type of business, if there a good market for this business and can make profit to everybody's (friends & family), you need high quality shirt printer, to print better then the others shops or company with same business.
2. i like the marketing technique...i would also consider buying a really cheap one, and then setting aside profits towards a better one.
3. Most silk screening is still done the old fashion way with a steady hand and a screen. You can buy printers which will printer on T-shirts. A decent fabric printers will cost about $20,000 to buy, supplies are another story.
