I'm starting university in September and I would like to get a laptop. I know practically nothing about computers, so I figured I'd ask for some help. I want a laptop that is reasonably priced. Around 15 inches is a perfect size. It should be thin and lightweight. I want it to have DVD/CD ROM drive (I think that's what it's called). If it came with a webcam, that would be nice. I don't know what this means, but one of my friends told me to get an "N" over a "G" with regards to wireless internet I believe? One that has a long battery life. It should have tons of memory and a decent graphics card. And one of my friends told me to get one that is compatible with many different types of printers and accessories. so I'm not limited to just one certain brand or anything, My dad also wants me to get one with security features. One that looks pretty would be nice too, but that's at the very end of the list. Lol! I've heard good things about HP laptops (especially the Pavillions) but I am on their website and I find it so confusing because I really don't know anything about computers. I just want one that could do all the things I need it to. I really just want a decent laptop that will last me a long time (I want it to last *at least* for the four years of my schooling). I live in Canada, so it has to be one that is available here. I do not like Macs. I've used them before and I know they're great, but I just can't get used to them. I'm more comfortable with a PC. I've been checking websites and flyers for Best Buy and Future Shop, but like I said, because I don't really understand the terminology and stuff, it's hard for me to tell which computer is the best for me. Thank you very much for the help. :)
