What is a decent laptop to get?

Im getting this laptop, which is going to be used mostly for photo editing (photoshop), and internet. I dont need some big fancy thing, just a basic laptop. I am looking at the HP Compaq NC6000, its on sale for $299.99 Would this laptop serve the basic purpose? Thanks!
