i want to purchase a printer,which is better laser or inkjet.& how many pages can be printed by inkjet & laser?

some people says that canon cartidges & toner size is bigger than hp is that right.and what is the charges of refilling of inkjet cartidges and laser tonner.

1. InkJet's cheaper, but laser prints more at higher quality. Go for laser if you can afford it.
2. If you want to print text and graphics then an inkjet is best as they do a better job at pictures. Laser is better if you are printing mostly text. The page print figure is unanswerable as they all print different amounts and it depends on how much text or graphics you have on the page. If you have three paragraphs on a page then you can print hundreds on Inkjet and thousands on a laser. If you print pictures then you will use a lot more ink so get a lot lesser prints per page output. Laser toner are more expensive to buy but last longer. Ink cartridges are cheaper but don't last as long as toner. They can't be all things to all men so you have to decided what is the most important thing you want from your printer and work from there as it's like swings and roundabouts.
3. Ink cartridges can print about 200-500 pages, toner cartridges can print 2000-8000 pages. I will choose canon printer, the cartridges for canon is cheap and reliable.
