Do HP Pavilion Laptop Batteries Overheat faster than most laptops?
I was wonderin if HP laptop batteries overheat way more than most laptops. I used to have one of the dv series laptops and it would always make a buzzing sound in the fan and the battery woud heat up so hot that whenever i picked it up aftr using it i would burn my hand. I now have a Acer Aspire one which I am using 2 type this in . Its totally silent and Ive bbeen using it for a couple hours now and no heat from the battery whatsoever and no noises. is it just my hp or does this happen 2 all of them?

- your Acer is a netbook which has a lower capacity battery as well as CPU , so it's naturally gonna be cooler than your hp which was a media laptop with a bigger screen, and CPU, which in turn means more draw on the battery and increased heat. that being said all laptops get hot to varying degrees but H.P. not too Diff. than Dell Gateway or the rest.
- the battery will heat up but it's probably old and needs to be replaced but they stopped calling them laptops because people get burned with them dell's and sonys get so hot they catch on fire but also make sure you ahve lots of ventilation like a notebook fan and mayeb a can of air to clean out the cruft
