How good are hp laptops?

Hmm, I am trying to get a laptop, but out of all, hp laptops were the cheapest. The recent one I saw from Fry's was 4gb ram, but it was like only 700 dollars. So, I was just asking, If hp laptops are good for little games, and just to use it. Thanks.

2. Hello; I use HP/Compaq laptops all the time -- and I think they are excellent machines for the money. I can say good things about the support ... They have helped me when things were going badly. Other manufactures make good machines too! I don't know if the laptop you are looking at will do everything you want -- but most laptops will do the little games (some games are very resource intensive). 4 gigabyte is about right, for good performance. 3. The only problem with HP laptops are that they have had REALLY bad tech. support for the past while. I know this from both consumer reports and personal experience. I personally recommend the Dell Inspiron 15 (http://www.dell.com/us/en/home/notebooks/laptop-inspiron-1545/pd.aspx?refid=laptop-inspiron-1545&s=dhs&cs=19&ref=lthp). You can customize it to your liking and it is a very good value.
