Can you help me choose a laptop?

I am a power user and a business student. I will either buy a high end system else or I will buy a cheap netbook and wait for better priced systems to come out. I can buy the laptop/netbook from either India/Singapore/Malaysia, so please Englighten me on where they might be cheaper. So far I have narrowed down on: A) Fully Upgraded HP HDX 16 B) Fully Upgraded Dell Studio 15 The difference between these two isn't much. The price is almost the same but the Dell is available in India (where I reside) and I will need to look around a bit for the HP. Both cost approximate 1580 US$ The Dell has a 720p 15.6 inch display whereas the HP has a 1080p 16 inch display. The dell has an inferior graphic card, about 80% perfomance of HP's graphic card. Other than these there isn't much difference in the specification, its just that I will need to buy the HP from either Singapore or Malaysia. So help me choose between A) Dell B) HP C) Netbook or else the laptop that you suggest! Thank you =) As I mentioned I have already customized these and they are fully upgraded. I am also an avid gamer so mac is out of question.

  1. Buy a Macbook . . . you won't regret it . . .
  2. Dell pwns that is all i buy. mac sux
  3. actually check into apple there the best. i am using a macbook pro right now and it rocks
  4. if you are a business student, you want a reliable laptop. I suggest looking at Macs. they are less viruses, and easier help. Mac has set up special genius bars around the world that help solve computer problems.
  5. Dell is honestly the best if you want to chose your specifications. Try their web site and it allows you to choose a laptop to be built to your requirements from choosing various options
  6. You definitely should get a Macbook Pro http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro?mco=MTE4NDY the price range is $1,199.00 to $2,499.00. The cheap one is awesome too. You can even install Windows XP or Windows Vista on it, if you like or needed Windows for some odd reason. Macs ironically make the best Windows computers. Some stand-out features of the Macbook Pro: 1) Light up keyboard. Type in the dark! 2) Magnetic powerchord. Safely releases with a good tug. Someone tripping over the chord won't knock your computer over. 3) Multitouch trackpad: Click with two fingers to right click. Drag with three fingers to scroll. Perform gestures like on the iphone. If you don't like touchpads, just use a USB two-button mouse like any other computer. 4) The laptop is carved out of a single solid block of aluminum. It looks and feels amazing. The screen is made of glass, which make the entire unit very recycling friendly. 5) 7-8 hour battery life. No other laptop I know comes even close. 6) Comes with free, awesome, software to manage photos, edit video, create and record music. The software alone should be worth thousands of dollars, but is totally free. Edit: About gaming: With Core 2 Duo processors, nvdia graphics cards, easy to upgrade RAM and harddrive, ability to run Windows software just as natively as Dell or HP computers, Macs are fantastic for gaming. On my iMac that I bought 4 years ago, I use to play Half Life 2 in high resolution with every graphics setting on maximum, smoothly. They have gotten much better over the last 4 years.
  7. The best laptop on the market, is the Macbook Pro. Macs have an easy to use interface and they offer great support and are virus free. Trust me, I've owned Macs for years and will never own anything else. My roommate has a Dell laptop that freezes on her all the time, she once asked me how often my Mac freezes. I've had my laptop about four years and it's frozen on me twice at the most. Seriously, Macs are easy and hassle free.
