Can I get the charger for HP DV6 series laptops from India? If so, where?

I have an HP DV6000 series laptop. I will be going on India on vacation in 2 days. Since the voltage is higher I know for a fact that I cannot use the USA charger there. Can I buy a charger from there itself and use it to charge my laptop? Will there be any complications? Is there a possible way that it could ruin my laptop? I am going to a city called Chennai (madras). Can you tell me the names of store that I can get the charger from? Thank you in advance!
