I would suggest that you go with the Dell. One of the main things for me is that refurbished products go bad quickly and easily. If you also compare the specs, the dell is an HD monitor vs the HP monitor. If you watch movies or play games on your computer this is a huge plus. If you also look at how to connect the Dell monitor to the computer, you see that there are a few ways to connect it. Especially since it has the HDMI connection, this monitor is upgradeable and can last you a very long time. Overall i think for $50 the dell monitor is a great steal. You get a new monitor, with hd, and one that is upgradeable. Buy the DELL.
